Reconnect with your Spalding family each year at Homecoming!

Homecoming takes place twice each year! First comes Homecoming in person at the on-campus Spring residency in late May/early June. Next, we hold Virtual Homecoming during the virtual summer residency in late June. You can join in no matter where you are in the world.

Hosted by the Spalding MFA Alumni Association, the two Homecomings offer an abundance of alumni-led programming, including lectures, readings, literary chats, writing sprints, discussions, generative sessions, and social events. The Alumni Celebration of New Works is held at both Homecomings, featuring a reading and (at the in-person version) a book signing for alums who’ve published a book or had a film or play produced in the past year.

Thanks to the generosity of alumni donors and the Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing, registration is free for all participants. Keep an eye on your inbox each spring for a call for proposals for Homecoming presentations.
