COUNTDOWN TO HOMECOMING 2011
Homecoming 2011 is set for the weekend of May 19 through 22. Aimee Zaring and Bonnie Johnson have chaired the Celebration of Recently Published Books by Alumni which will be held at The Brown Hotel on Friday night, immediately followed by a new event, SPLoveFest, a bookfair where all alumni are invited on a first-come, first-served basis to sell their books, journals and anthologies and also bring promotional material regarding any artistic endeavor such as plays, movies, podcasts, your literary services and more! Renee Culver has graciously taken the lead in this first year of SPloveFest and you can contact her at SPLoveFest@gmail.com and read more about it and other homecoming activities in the most recent issue of Soaring, mentioned below. Once again, there will be lectures, alumni readings, and a breakfast meet and greet during Homecoming.
Authors, Kelly Creagh, Sonja de Vries, Stacia Fleegal, J J Gumbs, Cyn Kitchen, Loreen Niewenhuis, Barbara Sabol, Vickie Weaver and Charles White Dodd will be our feature authors at this year’s Celebration. They will then sign their books at SPLoveFest. To view photos from all events from the 2010 Homecoming and Celebration, start by clicking here or on the Homecoming 2010 link at the top of the page.
