Spalding MFA Alumni Association
This is the official webpage of the alumni association. We continue to update and revise (who doesn’t love revision?) to be as helpful and professional as possible.
Many thanks to all who attended Homecoming 2009 and a special thanks to the committee of Bonnie Johnson, Sue Carls McNally and John Schuler who did a fantastic job. It was a weekend filled with wonderful lectures, panel discussions, a brunch and evening reception and lots of time to socialize. During her commencement address, Sena, told us that over 100 books have been published by Spalding alumni thus far and we were honored to have seven recently published alumni read and sign books at our second Celebration Friday night, including Albert DeGenova, Teneice Delgado, Kaylene Johnson, Maryann Lesert, Julia Horst Schuster, Kathleen Thompson and Frank X Walker. Click here to see photos from Homecoming and the Reunion or click on the links above.
We also congratulate and welcome to the Alumni Association the latest graduates of the Spalding MFA in Writing program. You can see the newest members by clicking here and can see photos from the graduation by clicking here. As always, you can also go to the webpages of this website by clicking on the links at the top of the page.
Click over to the newsletter page for in-depth pieces about alumni events and experiences. The November-December 2009 issue of Soaring, our newsletter, has been posted so click on the link on the masthead above, or here and enjoy. You can also go back and read previous issues, including the Summer and May/Homecoming 2009 issues by clicking here.
We also have a Facebook social networking page.

We welcome anyone who wishes to help with the alumni association. Every member of this organizing group is a writer first, then an association volunteer. If you have ideas, send them on. We still need input from CNF, W4C and playwrights and screenwriters.
If you have a website and want others to know about it, send it on and we’ll post it. The same goes for any useful writing resources or weblinks you’ve found. If you have a book for sale, send us the link.
As you can see, the Spalding MFA in Writing alumni have a lot going on. Check back often as we will continue to update as things develop.
Best,
Terry
